WHELPING HOUSE INSTRUCTIONS

ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN BUILDING, WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES AND FOLLOW ALL TOOL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AND RULES.         

Material List:

(2) Sheets 1/2" Chipboard (OSB or any other plywood material you choose)

(1) 2" x 4" x 12'  Treated or untreated

(1) 1" x 4" x 10'   Untreated

(1) Pound #4 Galvanized Box Nails

(1) Pound #6 Galvanized Box Nails

Note:  If possible, have the lumber yard strip the 1 x 4 x 8 untreated board into 3-1" wide strips for you.

Tools Needed:

2 Hammers                                   Circular or Hand Saw

Tape Measure                              6" Carpenters Square

Standard Screwdriver                 Phillips Screwdriver (Small)

Sabre Saw with Wood Blade     7/16" Wrench

Electric Drill                                  1/8" Drill Bit

3/16" Drill Bit                                1/4" Drill Bit

Exterior Wood Glue (Small Bottle)

Always Use Caution when building, wear safety goggles and follow all tool safety requirements and rules.

HELPFUL HINTS

Clinching-Bending over the end of a nail that protrudes through the lumber. To clinch a nail-using two hammers, hold one hammer against the head of the nail while bending over the end of the nail with the hammer.
